IHP has been working with Salud y Acupuntura para el Pueblo since 2014 in their mission of improving community health via the philosophy and techniques of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Post Irma, Maria and the recent earthquakes, this work has become vital. Having a skilled and dedicated local group has allowed for almost immediate services when official aid was (and is) slow to come. A primary goal of IHP is to help establish and foster local groups that can then care for their own communities.  Salud y Acupuntura para el Pueblo was founded  out of an interest in providing in Puerto Rico clinics similar to those that IHP had been providing in Guatemala.  Treatment, while including the NADA protocol,  also includes  multi-modality approaches to individual care.
